ALTERLIVELY: post-war
Poetry
JUDITH SUMNER: Every garden a munitions plant.
Empire has grown fat on green
thumbs & “revolutions”
personal Victory
Gardens be coming a phalanx
in the broader
war plot of crude capitalism & its suburbs.
But ever-citational, soils soil
soil. They sift into each other
through the night, comparing memories, digesting scraps.
There is another world & it too is soiled.
Let us begin & beg in again.
